Now if you have a picture that’s already cutout before you start or you want to fully cut the person from the bg before you start, that’s no problem. cool.)Īfter i add doodles on a new layer if i feel like adding them, and since i want them to pop out of the circle too, i add a drop shadow to the doodles. this is to make sure that when you save the icon as a png, the coloring will only show up on your icon and it won’t dull the space around it, making it not a png. once the layer is clicked, i go up the window to layer > layer mask > reveal selection. then i go to the coloring folder and click it. Now to add coloring, i pop whatever coloring psd into that document and then going back to the picture cutout, i right click it and click select pixels. I don’t want to erase her head, that’s the part i want out ! to make sure the bg is erased i zoom tf (emphasis on tf) in and i erase the rest of that h*e. Then i erase everything selected - but WAIT. without doing anything, i then click on my picture layer. then i go to select at the top of the screen and click inverse. lower the opacity on the picture layer to make this easier.)Īfter that i right click my color fill (the circle) and i hit select pictures. (also use this time to make sure that the picture is aligned the way you want over the circle. i resize it enough so that a “cute” portion of the person’s head can stick out to my liking, lmao. This is now the time where i resize the picture. (if the picture has a plain background then i skip this step.) so you’d right click the png > select duplicate layer > change the destination to the name of the document in which your circle is in. Next step, i find a pic of the person i want to use, open it and cutout the person from the bg of the picture and then i duplicate that layer into my circle file. i then move the circle to the middle if need be. To fill in that box i go to layer > new fill layer > pick w.e color > enter. using my elliptical marquee tool, i make a circle shape within that box. Okay now starting from scratch, i start with a 140 x 140 canvas. All screencaps are mine, like/reblog if found helpful ! x
